The National Board of Examinations in Medical Science (NBEMS) has released the list of test cities for NEET PG 2024. The board will open the test city selection window portal today, July 19. Candidates will be required to choose their preferred test cities yet again.
This means that the admit cards issued earlier containing the exam cities and centres shall no longer be valid. Candidates can choose their test city by visiting the official website at natboard.edu.in. The last date to select the test city would be July 22.
“All those candidates who were issued admit cards for NEET-PG 2024 shall be required to choose their test city again by exercising their choices of preferred test cities during an online window which shall be opened from 19th July 2024 to 22nd July 2024 (till 11:55 PM),” reads the official notice by NBEMS.
The NBEMS NEET PG 2024 admit card will be released on August 8. The test cities of the candidates will be issued to them on July 29 at their registered email IDs.
“The test centre venue in the test city allocated shall be intimated through admit card which shall be released on 8th August 2024 at NBEMS website,” reads the official notice.
NEET PG 2024 which was earlier scheduled to be conducted on June 23 will now be held on August 11. According to the notification, the cut-off date for eligibility for appearing in the NEET PG 2024 would remain August 15, 2024.
As per the official notification, candidates must provide choices for four preferred test cities where he/she wish to appear for the examination from the available test cities in the application form.
“Wherever the number of available test cities in a State/UT of correspondence address is less than four or the demand of testing seats is exceeding the available capacity in the state of correspondence address, the candidate shall be offered to choose from the test cities of nearby States/UTs,” the notice added.
Allocation of the test city to a candidate will be done randomly from the choices provided, and these four choices will not be considered as an order of preference of test cities. It is possible that a test centre cannot be provided in any of these four preferred test cities due to reasons such as overcapacity, logistical, administrative, or security reasons.
In such cases, the candidate will be allocated a test centre in one of the nearest available locations within the state of correspondence address or in nearby states/ UT. Candidates who fail to provide any preferences regarding the test cities during this online window shall be allocated a test centre by NBEMS anywhere in the country.
