Prime Minister’s Visit to Ladakh

This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will travel to Drass, Ladakh, where the major commemorations will take place. A wreath-laying ceremony at the Kargil War Memorial, followed by a visit to Veer Bhoomi and interactions with Veer Naris (martyrs’ families), will mark the start of the national tribute.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to inaugurate the Shinku La Tunnel, a significant infrastructure project that improves strategic mobility in the Himalayas.

Army Training Command Celebration in Shimla

The Army Training Command (ARTAC) in Shimla is hosting a multi-day celebration at The Ridge on July 24 and 25. Activities include:

Indian Air Force Commemorates Rajat Jayanti

At Air Force Station Sarsawa, the Indian Air Force is observing ‘Kargil Vijay Diwas Rajat Jayanti’ from July 12 to 26. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari led a tribute on July 13, laying a wreath at the station’s War Memorial. Families of martyrs, IAF veterans, and serving personnel participated in remembrance and gratitude.
