The outfit from Rimzim Dadu’s most recent
runway show was worn by Janhvi Kapoor.
The white item is from the “Stucco” collection of India Couture Week, which made its runway debut.
Rimzim Dadu claims, “The collection draws inspiration from the elaborate and dramatic features of Baroque architecture, delving into the depths of historical grandeur via the lens of our trademark style. Her most recent show took place in New Delhi last week.
Janhvi Kapoor has been photographed wearing her most recent creation as part of the Ulajh promotion.
Styled by Manisha Melvani, Janhvi Kapoor’s sculptural baroque cut-out dress is created from hundreds of tiny pieces crafted in Rimzim Dadu’s characteristic cords. The star accessorised her ensemble with diamond jewellery from Narayan Jewellers and white pointed-toe heels.
The designer, dubbed a “progressive texturist,” tinkers with steel wires, cables, and 3D appliqué to give contemporary apparel a unique feel and look. This compilation is no different.
It honours the traditional aesthetic and rich history that provide me with creative inspiration.
Taking a look back at some of her greatest creations from her debut line, the designer said, “Every piece is a reflection of my journey over the past 18 years.” The necessary materials, which include metallic threads, steel wires, and common zardozi elements, are also present in her cosmos.
