After losing the toss, Team India, who came to bat first, scored 325 runs for the loss of three wickets in the allotted 50 overs.
Opener Smriti Mandhana played the best innings of 136 runs for Team India. Nonkululeko Mlaba took the top two wickets for South Africa. Chasing the target, the South African team could only score 321 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 50 overs. Captain Laura Volward played an explosive innings of 135 not out for South Africa. Deepti Sharma and Pooja Vastrakar took the highest two wickets each for Team India.

Women’s cricket team India challenged South Africa by 326 runs for victory in the second ODI match on the strength of centuries by both Smriti Mandhana and captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
Team India scored 325 runs in 50 overs losing 3 wickets. Smriti Mandhana scored the highest innings of 136 runs for Team India. Captain Harman scored an unbeaten 103 runs. The other three added small but useful runs. So Team India could reach 300 easily. Now the responsibility is on the bowlers of Team India.
Team India’s batting
South Africa won the toss and forced India to bat. The opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma came into the field. Both started well. But Shafali was bowled out for 20 runs when Team India’s score was 38. Then Dayalan Hemaltha entered the fray. Both Smriti and Dayalan added 62 runs for the second wicket. Dayalan then returned after scoring 24 runs in 41 balls. So the condition of Team India became 100 for 2.
A record partnership for the third wicket
But after that, both Smriti and captain Harmanpreet Kaur formed a strong partnership for Team India. Both of them shared a partnership of 171 runs for the third wicket. Meanwhile, Smriti scored his second consecutive century against South Africa. Also, even after a century, she continued the Dandapatta. But she could not make a big innings. Smriti scored 136 runs. Richa Ghosh entered the field after Smriti. Richa and Harmanpreet Kaur returned unbeaten. Both of them added 56 not out for the fourth wicket.
Harmanpreet scored this century after Smriti. This became Harman’s sixth century in ODI career. Harman scored 103 not out in 88 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. Richa Ghosh scored 25 not out. Nonkululeko Malaba took 2 wickets. So Masabata’s class lost 1 wicket.
